Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles, along with a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation of new AC units, including split systems, window units, and central air conditioning systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventative checks on existing AC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in AC systems using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
- Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, and thermostats.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, recycling, and recharging in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Educate clients on proper AC usage and maintenance to maximize system efficiency and longevity.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work performed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as an AC Technician (minimum [e.g., 2-3] years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including their components and operational principles.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring, control systems, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites within Patna and surrounding areas.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
