Job Description
The Food Packaging Associate is responsible for ensuring that food products are packed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports production by preparing, labeling, and sealing food items for distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment.
- Inspect food items for quality before packaging.
- Weigh, measure, and portion food products accurately.
- Apply labels, barcodes, and expiration dates correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the packaging area.
- Follow safety guidelines and food handling regulations.
- Report any defects, damages, or irregularities to supervisors.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, FSSAI, FDA).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Food production facility or warehouse.
- Requires use of protective gear (gloves, hairnets, aprons).
- Shift-based work may be required.
